National Heritage week brought our second years out into their local community performing plays they scripted based on local history.

The Awards Ceremony 2020 - like no other!

This year's Awards Ceremony, held on Friday 23rd October, was like no other. The 6th Year prefects had pre-recorded the teachers giving their speeches. Students from the Leaving Certificate class of 2020 joined the online Awards Ceremony. Tomi Reichental, as special guest, gave a thought-provoking speech about the privilege of getting an education.

TY students go wall climbing

The TY's went to The Wall, a climbing gym, in Sandyford on Thursday 22nd October to make their first attempt at climbing the bouldering walls.

TY student invited to participate in (online) 2021 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition

Congratulations to TY student Ayush Tambde who for the second time in two years has been accepted to the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE). This will be his second quantum computing project that has been accepted in BTYSTE.

The shortlist of Junior and Senior books for this year's Great Reads Award 2020 have been announced. All students (and parents/guardians) are invited to read these books. You then rate the books - the school with the most ratings is also in with a chance of winning a prize!

Teaching Teachers - Facilitating Professional CPD

Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) is the Department of Education provider of Continuous Professional Development for teachers. Delighted Ms Delia Donohoe (Revised Leaving Certificate Classical Studies) joins Ms Helen O'Kelly (Leaving Certificate Computer Science) and Mr Sean Brilly (Digital Technologies) and Ms Patricia Gordon (JCT Leadership) in leading out national CPD.

Three Senior Students to participate in an IBM course on Introduction to Quantum Computing with lectures from MIT, Boston and Cambridge University.
